- How do you feel about being student of the month?
I feel excited and accomplished.
- What did you think you did to deserve this honor?
I put in the work and effort that needed to be put in, and I focused really hard on my school work.
- What does it mean to you to be student of the month?
It means that I am getting recognized for all the hard work that I put into school and being a model student at Bowie.
- Were you surprised to found out that you were student of the month?
Yes I was surprised when the announcement came out.
- Why or why not? ^
I was surprised because I did not think that I had what it took to be student of the month, especially when there are so many other great students here.
- Are you planning on doing anything to celebrate?
No, I don't have anything planned to celebrate.
- What does being student of the month mean to the school?
It means that the school gets to recognize all of the hard work that the student body puts in, and honor the few students who really go above and beyond.
- What do you plan to do to help Bowie?
I plan on joining a bunch or clubs and getting to know my fellow students better.
- How can Bowie be better as a whole?
I feel like Bowie could get more involved in the community around us, maybe even make service requirements or do something school wide with community service.
- Are you proud to represent Bowie?
Yes, I am proud to represent this school.
- Why are you proud to represent our school?
Because bowie is a good school with good students and a competitive atmosphere, and I am proud to represent that and all that Bowie is.
- How has being student of the month affected your friendships?
My friends are a little jealous, but they will get over it.
- How has being student of the month affected your relationships with your teachers?
My teachers now know that I put a lot of work into my classes, and that I really care about this school and being a model student.
- Do you feel like there is more pressure on you now?
Yes, there is a higher expectation set out for me now.
- Why do you think that the pressure has increased?
Because a bunch of people know who you are no, and they are expecting you to preform your best.
- How has being student of the month changed how you perform in school?
It hasn't changed how I have been performing too much, but I have a better work ethic now.
19. How does a student get to be student of the month?
They need to stay focused, use their time wisely, and work really hard in school.
20. What would you tell another student that wants to be student of the month?
Chase your dreams, and work really hard not just on your school work, but how you present yourself and treat the people around you.
