Architecture Preview #1 and #2

Kansas City Public Library, United States 1. I couldn't find the architect.  2. 2006 3. Kansas City, U.S 4. Public Building 5. No info on the cost.  6. The building was created to beautify a parking garage near the Kansas City L ibrary.  7. I picked this building because I am a total book nerd, and I liked the idea of someone using this as a front for a library. When I looked a little further into it i found out that it was the city's way of beautifying a parking garage, and it made me happy that someone thought of instead of building a big gray block of concrete, they built large books that made it so they have a pop of color in their city.  Patterns Details Surroundings Angles Lighting Cubic Houses, Netherlands 1. Piet Blom 2. 1977 3. Rotterdam, Holland  4. One of the Cubes is open to public viewing.  5. No info on the cost  6. The buildings were created to resemble a triangle forest.  7. I chose these buildings because i

 1. To be honest, I don't quite understand what that quote means, I think that it might be something along the lines of surrounding by things that you choose, but its not clear. I agree that you should surround yourself with things that you like and things that you chose, with objects and people alike. I think that it would be cool to take photos of people with all of their favorite things in the world, people and objects included, because it can show a lot about a person. 2. I would want to visit this place with my camera because you could get some really cool contrast shots if you have a more muted or solid color object or person, especially the places that have a lot of bright colors. 3. I feel like if you were a kid of someone who worked at this place your house might look similar to the shop, if your mother/father owned it. 4. I included my favorite photo above.

Dispatch issue #4

I read the story about the tables on page one.  The story was about the new tables that the school management had put in the hallway. The tables have charging ports for the new required technology that is being used at Bowie. The story also touched based on our growing student population, and the need for more places to sit at Bowie. The students interviewed in the article also expressed that getting new tables might not be the most important change that needs to be made to the school. Who?- The grounds management at Bowie What?- New charging tables Where?- In the halls  When?- Start of 2017-2018 school year Why?- So students can charge their devices  How?- AISD purchased them  Who was quoted in the story?- Debby Theis, Asia Griffith, and Collin Stoddard. What quote was the strongest in your opinion and where did that quote appear in the story? The quote from Debby Theis that is in big letters on the front.  Did the lead sentence make you want to keep reading? Yes

Front Pages of the World

Front pages of the world-  -My favorite newspaper was from Alexander city, I liked how it used a mixture of infographics and pictures to explain their story.  -My favorite headline from that newspaper was "Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force Honored as Officers of the Year", I was personally interested in it because i wanted to know what they had done to get officers of the year.  -There are 5 stories on the front cover.  -When looking through all of the newspapers I noticed that they all had more than one headline or story on the front, with one big photo or infographic, and a few smaller stories with a smaller picture, similar to the yearbook spread.  -Some newspapers had a more modern feel, like it's a paper website. Then other newspapers are more old-fashioned, with the classic font, no effects on the text, and not as much color.
